European Standards - Automatic Doors and Gates
The Directives and Technical Standards that regulate the construction and marketing of automatic and/or motorised gates and doors are numerous and continually updated by the technical commissions for European legislation, below there is a detailed overview:
DIRECTIVES are European laws which, once " adopted " by individual states, become national laws.
TECHNICAL STANDARDS define the minimum safety requirements and construction criteria dictated by the Directives.
Main Directives:
- 305/2011/UE - Marketing of construction products
- 2006/42/CE - Machinery Directive
- 2014/35/UE - Low Voltage Directive LVD
